When we don’t know an outcome, we can choose the optimistic one. Maybe that’s better than knowing bad outcomes. Beautiful story. You seem to live in the world so many people want to escape to.
I think I imagine bad outcomes way before I ever dream of the pleasant ones. 😆 And try to figure out a way for them to exist side by side, especially if I don't know which one it is. Thanks for reading Amy ❤️
TRUTH! "Because if love is perfect, the act of loving is not. The act of loving may be subject to some rational discernment, but much of it isn’t. It’s messy, visceral, and it hinges on our current available capacities and emotional intelligence."
It would be much easier if birds (and people) would just do what we wanted. 😆 Of course, I know that's not the point. The point is (and continues to be) loving despite it all. Thanks for reading ❤️
I enjoyed reading this so much, Valkyrie, and can relate to having those same feelings and having those same sort of conversations with people in my life about my current bird/bug/plant obsession. Thanks for sharing about your Hop Along and Tree Bird.
Thank you Kristi ❤️ I think we're so fortunate to meet these beings in the course of our lives. Little birds and parasitic wasps and what not. (I know you're a wasp nerd and I love you for it.)
Yes. I love wasps! I have also been nerding out on Eastern Bluebirds and have a piece lined up in my head about the Bluebird drama going on here, but I think I'm going to write more about insects first, you know, when I have time 😅🤷♀️

I hope Tree Bird made it, too.
Me too. 🥹 I believe tho, I believe.
Tree Bird lives!!
If not literally, then at least in our hearts.
🥲 this is so fucking beautiful ❤️
❤️❤️ thanks

I misread Tree Bird as Treebeard, so that was your bird's name in my head for the rest of your beautiful piece. :)
Thank you do much Connie. And I had NO idea about the read aloud feature. Now I know! 😆❤️
